Air quality readings are increasing and will end up in the YELLOW range Monday afternoon as high pressure builds over the region. This air mass will control our weather for most of the week as high temperatures start in the low 90s but will increase into the upper 90s by Thursday. AQI readings will also increase each day as light northwest winds, coupled with sunny skies, produce mid to upper YELLOW conditions. An upper-level trough will begin to dig south from the northeast and help bring relief into the state for the weekend. (Bodenhamer)
